Helping injured people since 1991
Since 1991, Claire Hancock has helped Tampa injury victims and their families get their lives back after auto accidents, slip-and-fall injuries and wrongful death tragedies. She is an attorney and partner at Hancock Injury Attorneys, where she works alongside founding attorney Mike Hancock and attorney Matias Cordoba.
As a wife and mother of two young adult daughters, Claire brings a compassionate perspective to her work and to the firm's goal of exceeding every client's expectations. That perspective matters, because a serious injury rarely affects just one person. It can upend a family's schedule, finances and peace of mind.
A family firm in every sense
Hancock Injury Attorneys is a family business. Mike and Claire are attorneys and partners, and their youngest daughter, Grace, joined the firm in 2021. That family feeling extends to the people we represent. As one longtime client put it in a review, "Mike and Claire will treat you like you are family."
Serving the legal profession
Claire is active in The Florida Bar as a member of its Cybersecurity and Privacy Law Committee and of the Editorial Board of The Florida Bar News and The Florida Bar Journal, the Bar's publications for lawyers across the state.
Injury cases involve medical records, financial information and other personal details, and protecting that information is a responsibility our firm takes seriously.
Claire has also been featured in an article on CNBC for her advice on staying organized and multitasking in a high-demand career, skills that matter when you are managing many moving parts of a client's case at once.
Licensed in Florida and Washington, D.C.
Claire was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1991 and to the District of Columbia Bar in 2020, and she is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She earned her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in Houston and her bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Houston.
