Mike Hancock, a second-generation Tampa native, does not just work here; he lives here, is raising his family where his parents raised him, and has spent years volunteering his time and legal experience with local organizations. The rest of our team shares those roots. Mike and Claire's daughter Grace works at the firm, and our litigation paralegal, Kelly Mills, grew up in a house right around the corner from our office. ## Where Mike volunteers Over the years, Mike has given his personal time and legal experience to these organizations: - Carrollwood Civic Association – Board of Directors and legal counsel, 2006–2016 - North Tampa Bar Association – Board of Directors, and two terms as President - Trinity School for Children, a Hillsborough County charter school – Board of Directors, 2009–2011 - University of Florida Lake Watch – volunteer on Lake Carroll - Community Food Pantry in Carrollwood - Carrollwood Area Business Association – member since 2010 ## Claire Hancock's involvement Claire is a member of the Carrollwood Area Business Association and the North Tampa Bar Association. She also serves the wider legal community as a member of The Florida Bar's Cybersecurity and Privacy Law Committee and the Editorial Board of The Florida Bar News and The Florida Bar Journal. ## Our team gives back, too Jamila Goodwin, one of our case managers, has volunteered at the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center for about ten years, usually on Sundays. ## Sharing what we know Mike has lectured Florida attorneys, legal professionals and insurance adjusters at continuing legal education seminars on auto injury litigation, damages and discovery. He is also a Florida Certified Circuit Court Mediator, a role he has held since 2002. ## Why it matters to you When you are one of our neighbors, your case is personal to us.
